Crow Radio Hiatus

Because of changes at BTR, including new premium costs and show limits, Crow Radio and the Poetry Hour will be on hiatus until we settle on an alternative or rethink our existing methods.Thank you so much to the writers and performers that have been guests and callers for our open mic sessions and poetry and fiction shows.

In the meantime, we will continue to pursue audio and podcast projects and will focus on archiving the interviews and readings that we already have, and add new audio tracks to the site.

If you have an audio to send, please inquire with Lynn Alexander at lynnalexander@fullofcrow.com. If you might be interested in helping out with audio and video or want to develop a project that is limited or ongoing, just email and describe your idea.

May On Crow Radio

May already? We have another month of guests and readings lined up for our web radio programming. As always, the full schedule can be found using the “upcoming” tab to the left. You can hear recent shows under Crow Radio and sample mp3′s in the Ionosphere including tracks by Gleb Kolomiets- our favorite Russian and producer of SLOVA, among other things. The link to BTR is here and the call in number is (646) 721-9314. All shows are archived and can be downloaded in mp3 format. Note: The Poetry Roulette involves the selecting of an area code from a caller in the call queue and giving that person the floor to read, comment, sing, play body percussion. Whatever. Callers, be prepared for the hot seat!

May 2: Full Of Crow Poetry Hour: Evan Karp. Evan Karp coordinates events in the Bay Area: Quiet Lightning, SPARKLE & BLINK… contributing editor to Instant City, works at North Atlantic Books as an editorial intern. Who knows what Evan will do, but whatever it is- you will be hearing it here first! Listeners are encouraged to call in to this show: comment, read your cereal box, be spontaneous. Followed by OPEN MIC!

May 9: Full Of Crow Poetry Hour: Edward Wells II. Edward Wells II has an ebook at Full Of Crow called “Mexico 2009”. Followed by poetry from Jeffrey S. Callico, author of “Ceilings”, “Early Trouble” and more, editor of Negative Suck.

May 16: Full Of Crow Poetry Hour: OW Poets and The Poetry Roulette. Random calls, random poetry.

May 23: Full Of Crow Poetry Hour: No Poetry Hour.

May 30: FOC Poetry Hour: Jesse Bradley. J. Bradley is the author of Dodging Traffic (Ampersand Books, 2009) and the Interview Editor of PANK Magazine. He lives at iheartfailure.net.

Full Of Crow Poetry Hour, 3/21 and 3/28

Crow Hour March 21: If you missed Pank’s Roxane Gay on March 21, you can catch it in the archives and download it as an mp3 file there. Roxane is a great story teller, and she was also ambushed with a few questions about Pank Magazine, editing, and independent press.
Somehow Roxane also became the newest recruit in the Laundromat Stealth Distribution Network. Here’s hoping she places a few of our zines ninja-style.

Crow Hour March 28: Harry Calhoun will be the featured poet on the Poetry Hour.
You can find out about Harry here, at his website.

Harry’s work can be found both in print and online, and he has a new collection of poetry coming out May 1 from Dimenuendo Press entitled The Black Dog And The Road.

An interview about Harry and his work can be read here.

On April 4,  the Crow Poetry Hour will feature poet Alex Chornyj. Note that this show will not have an open mic half. You can check that show out here, live online at BTR or in the archives.

Show Page with all episodes, reminder alert settings, call in numbers, and more: here.
