Threshold
dear windowpane
bed covers
inspired mentors
of quiet
to view
rest
with
what is:
impending loss
occuring loss
exquisitely
equivalent
to gain
flatness
skin-like qualities
opaque and clear
protect me
from what I imagine
is
too much
what I cannot keep
track of
in its midst
what I need
to stand
back
from
The Peace that is Sand
vast
Saharan
sand
so free it will
not cling
will not nourish
you say
but gives
stays next
to you
came before
and will
outlast you
will never
be made
from you
without a wish
will accept you
