Haikus to Hades
Ripened pomegranate:
Her split flesh cracks open, gives
way to blood red pulp. / Squeezed and delirious in thought,
she signs her fate in
dusk. Baked in the infinite /summer, his ghost skirts
under her shifting shadows.
Forever longing.
Teo Huey Yun is an uncertain undergraduate whom chews away her fraying insecurities (over her future prospects) by playing football, cuddling with her fat cat, reading and drawing. She has no fixed notion on what she aspires to do with her life, but she hopes it will stitch and come together like her grandma’s quilted blanket. Her works have been published in CERIPH, Symbal Magazine, AFTERGLOBE and Artitude.
