Glued On My Chair
Richard Wink, July 2009
Coffee rings communicate pentagrams
and pie charts
I swivel thirteen times and play every vinyl
record I own backwards
Damaged sounds better than Handel’s Messiah
Worries flare, as I stew
in Dates, diaries and future plans
half completed crosswords.
Settle now
dying belly fire
The sun hangs around this afternoon
peering through the window
casting a glare
melting all my wires
