He has heard the blackbird
For Liam on his 30th birthday
After eight hours
shake off the fleas
tackle the bear
take the stain
Little John is jingling
evening briefing
count the chimes
The storm moved north
the mail did not get
through on Saturday
The cats are never
aware of death
Cycle the promenade
before the fair
Joe was watching
with the family
You’re the only one
View across to birthplace
new çranes
old cranes
Towers slowly rise
Wave to the butcher
ignore the display
The beauty of the Minster
Beat the retreat to coast
to soak in the view
It’s not the same old
grey sky
It’s different
it’s ours
With the Tide
Sound of blind
rattle
afternoon into early evening sky
clearing
replicated
white of spots
blue of background
rooftops
spread green horizon
with the tide comes the change
lavender blackbird spins
tambourine shakes in sequence
tea and thirteen senses
blue top milk
no use for cardboard
rip things up!
vintage digitised
Sam streamed
dance of the summer
Seeking his peaches to share
It is summer after all
28th July 2015
[thanks to Rachel Smith]
Spring Bouquet
Create the bouquet for the Easter shelf
scents will drift across the room
when light leaks behind blinds
and birds announce morning
