Breaking Ohm’s Law<\/strong><\/p>\n

Sparklers in my foot.
\nI\u2019m wearing a sock, but I\u2019m not.
\nScarring of the dura mater. Hard mother.
\nI want a pia mater, a soft mother,
\none who will have pity, like the Piet\u00e0.<\/p>\n

Something\u2019s wrong with the wires.
\nCall the cable company.
\nTell them I want to change channels.
\nI\u2019m bored with this show.<\/p>\n

They can put in a device
\nto block pain messages.
\nSize of a pocket watch
\nunder my skin.<\/p>\n

Imagine his hands running over my hip,
\nsliding over it. Think about
\nsetting off airport metal detectors.
\nThink of an accidental MRI,
\nthe pocket watch winging through my skin,
\nslamming against the magnet.<\/p>\n

Think of post-apocalyptic Oakland
\nwhen there\u2019s no one to change my battery
\nand hordes of feral children
\nslice me open for parts.<\/p>\n

Think about being a cyborg.
\nDon\u2019t think of a white bear.
\nResistance is futile
\nChildless<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cOur family is like a quilt
\nstitched together with love.\u201d
\nIt sounds kind of painful, like
\nripping along the seams of love.
\n\u201cOur family is like a chain linked
\ntogether with genital piercings of love.\u201d
\nI\u2019m not a family man. My fan mail
\nranges from laudatory
\nto actionably defamatory.
\nAll I want is a refrigerator
\nthat will toss me a can of beer,
\nand to play Segway polo
\nin my free-range, organic,
