ETHIOPIA<\/strong><\/p>\n

see talking slums
\nsilenced tongues
\nfreedom silenced
\nhope killed
\na bling of ghettos
\ncollapsed humanity<\/p>\n

mothers weeping ,
\nunder the compression of religion
\ntrees dripping tears
\nEthiopia your festering open wounds
\nyou are my anger!<\/p>\n

children burn in smoldering canisters of hunger
\ntime opened new wounds of memories of old scars
\nchained on rocks of ignorance
\nyou need a compass of decency<\/p>\n

my poetry is a catalyst fermenting your injustices
\ninto beverages of justice
\nyou are my sadness!<\/p>\n

your heartbeat bleached in political fermentation
\nrhythm galvanized in furnaces of cultural myth
\nlaughter imbibed by the rude stomach of the gun
