{"id":2015,"date":"2013-02-06T23:40:14","date_gmt":"2013-02-06T23:40:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fullofcrow.com\/poetry\/?page_id=2015"},"modified":"2013-02-08T06:16:30","modified_gmt":"2013-02-08T06:16:30","slug":"sy-roth213","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.fullofcrow.com\/poetry\/archives\/sy-roth213\/","title":{"rendered":"Sy Roth"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Content to Circle<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Incarceration in a watery globe,<\/p>\n<p>her world circumscribed by interminable circles<\/p>\n<p>starting where there is no end and<\/p>\n<p>ending where there are no beginnings.<\/p>\n<p>Navigator of endless glass walls, uncovering nothing,<\/p>\n<p>discoverer of a stretch of perpetual waters,<\/p>\n<p>her reef-white rocks, and algae-capturing mesh.<\/p>\n<p>A world gyres from without.<\/p>\n<p>Mideast fades into another Arab spring,<\/p>\n<p>they rattle their nuclear sabers, and face other fiscal cliffs.<\/p>\n<p>A million tentative turns as she grows old<\/p>\n<p>on her merry-go-round of tepid water.<\/p>\n<p>No ah-has for this spindly, wire-legged tawpie<\/p>\n<p>as she circumnavigates her convex world<\/p>\n<p>where Brobdingnagians approach curiously to spy on her.<\/p>\n<p>No time to brabble when she seems content to follow her circles.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>He comes riding in and then canters out. Oftentimes, the head is bowed by reality; other times, he is proud to have said something noteworthy. cRetired after forty-two years as teacher\/school administrator, he now resides in Mount Sinai , far from Moses and the tablets. This has led him to find words for solace. \u00a0 He spends his time writing and playing his guitar.
