Garden of Decay<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Wasting away
\namong crumbled ruins
\ndestroyed by evil
\ntinged with sadness
\nconsuming the living
\nrotting and festering
\ntrees wither and weep
\nthe remains of small animals
\nprotrude from the dry lifeless soil
\nthere’s darkness overhead
\nno sunlight hits
\nneither do the reaping maggots
\nthat feast on dead bird carcases
\nall is still and silent
\nthere’s no hope.<\/p>\n

 
\nSheryl Chappell discovered her love of writing poetry just last year and is currently experimenting with styles. She has recently had some of her poems published in issue 37 of the online horror magazine ‘Death Head Grin’.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
