Gratuitous pandering<br \/>\nto misogynistic egos has consumed a generation<br \/>\nwhile allegedly resulting in the corrupted copulation<br \/>\nintended to spawn the next. I cower in my private<br \/>\nquarters, eyes closed in shame, chanting my safe<br \/>\nword like a desperate prayer that tomorrow\u2019s light<br \/>\nwill show it all to have been nothing<br \/>\nmore than a sad, semi-salacious shadow of a dream.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A.J. Huffman is a poet and freelance writer in Daytona Beach, Florida. She has previously published six collections of poetry all available on Amazon.com.
