I\u2019m not allowed.\u201d<br \/>\nThe rocker sighed warmly<br \/>\nin an upstairs room, too silent<\/p>\n<p>Out the adjacent window,<br \/>\nin the foreground against glass towers,<br \/>\na brick tenement neighbor with windows<br \/>\nfestooned with weekday laundry<\/p>\n<p>10 or more white t-shirts slung<br \/>\non wire hangers,<br \/>\nthreaded on a line, ascendent and<br \/>\nto my eye, pointed toward something<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Chris Middleman grew up in Downingtown, Pennsylvania, lived for years in Boston and now lives, works and writes in Seattle.
