{"id":2497,"date":"2014-04-22T01:58:04","date_gmt":"2014-04-22T01:58:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fullofcrow.com\/poetry\/?page_id=2497"},"modified":"2014-04-22T01:58:04","modified_gmt":"2014-04-22T01:58:04","slug":"jason-constantine-ford-april-2014","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.fullofcrow.com\/poetry\/archives\/jason-constantine-ford-april-2014\/","title":{"rendered":"Jason Constantine Ford, April 2014"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A Guiding Hand<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Her hand is upon mine with power no other hand can evoke<br \/>\nAs she instils a sense of smoothness which I acquaint<br \/>\nWith the kind of genius existing in a master brushstroke<br \/>\nFrom an artist who is empowered to rule with paint.<br \/>\nThe feel of her gentle touch is pulsating through each vein<br \/>\nAs creative strands are emerging inside my brain.<br \/>\nHer hand endows me with the skill to form the trunk of a tree<br \/>\nWith diverse strokes of brown color which blend in harmony.<\/p>\n<p>As I mix blue and yellow to form the color green,<br \/>\nHer hand is leading mine back to the canvas as a guide.<br \/>\nThe sight of leaves sprouting up is beauty most serene<br \/>\nComplimented by a set of branches which spread out wide.<br \/>\nWith Beauty\u2019s touch endowing me with skill I apply<br \/>\nUpon diverse parts of a canvas, I begin to paint the sky.<br \/>\nFrom out of a cloudless blue, the sun has now emerged<br \/>\nUpon a masterpiece where strands of Beauty have converged.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Jason Constantine Ford is from Perth in Australia. He works as an employee at a book shop. He has over sixty publications of poetry and fiction in various poetry and literary magazines, ezines and journals from around the world such as the <em>Criterion: an International Journal in English<\/em>,<em> the Muse: an International Journal of Poetry, Bewildering Stories, the Fowl Feathered Review and Poetry Magazine.<\/em> The major influences on his style of poetry are William Blake, Edgar Alan Poe and Gerard Manley Hopkins. Jason\u2019s main influences for short stories are Edgar Alan Poe and Phillip K. Dick.
