I have been alive<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I have been <\/span><\/p>\n

alive and I<\/span><\/p>\n

have been <\/span><\/p>\n

gone missing<\/span><\/p>\n

I have been the<\/span><\/p>\n

mishmash<\/span><\/p>\n

middle<\/span><\/p>\n

I have been<\/span><\/p>\n

the love <\/span><\/p>\n

of one man\u2019s life<\/span><\/p>\n

and the evil<\/span><\/p>\n

who must be <\/span><\/p>\n

high and holy<\/span><\/p>\n

dealt with<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

these testaments<\/span><\/p>\n

must be truth\u2014for<\/span><\/p>\n

I have been alive<\/span><\/p>\n

I have gone missing<\/span><\/p>\n

I have been loved<\/span><\/p>\n

and I have heard <\/span><\/p>\n

the charlatans shriek <\/span><\/p>\n

their whispers<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

shelf \u00a0life<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

the curers <\/span><\/p>\n

locked me in<\/span><\/p>\n

4 times in 6 months, <\/span><\/p>\n

twice on death row\u2014<\/span><\/p>\n

my crime<\/span><\/p>\n

fabricated<\/span><\/p>\n

to fit their<\/span><\/p>\n

mold<\/span><\/p>\n

their cure best as<\/span><\/p>\n

could be billed<\/span><\/p>\n

before released on <\/span><\/p>\n

my own recognizance <\/span><\/p>\n

3March2014<\/span><\/p>\n

my haunch stamped <\/span><\/p>\n

with a best-by date<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

no dyeing in machines<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

at the apartment complex we leased <\/span><\/p>\n

where roaches herded back and forth <\/span><\/p>\n

on toxins through thin walls<\/span><\/p>\n

of neighbors we hadn’t time to meet<\/span><\/p>\n

poolside on Ellison<\/span><\/p>\n

was included washer-dryer amenity \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

ran on unwritten schedule <\/span><\/p>\n

we hadn’t time to learn <\/span><\/p>\n

before bustled out of honeymoon seclusion<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I managed to work a few loads in, <\/span><\/p>\n

made a white bathmat blush under <\/span><\/p>\n

a <\/span>NO DYEING IN MACHINES<\/span> sign<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

the landlady fined us for breaking lease<\/span><\/p>\n

stole our nightlight with a skeleton key <\/span><\/p>\n

most likely <\/span><\/p>\n

refuted the roaches to her dying day<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n
