{"id":3027,"date":"2017-07-23T21:16:17","date_gmt":"2017-07-23T21:16:17","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fullofcrow.com\/poetry\/?page_id=3027"},"modified":"2017-07-25T20:04:13","modified_gmt":"2017-07-25T20:04:13","slug":"zak-mucha-summer-2017","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.fullofcrow.com\/poetry\/archives\/zak-mucha-summer-2017\/","title":{"rendered":"Zak Mucha, Summer 2017"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>All the Sky in a .025 mg Pill<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the morning my head still quiet with the<br \/>\ncontrol Nick Cave had over the Auditorium<br \/>\nhowling as they grabbed at him, his shirt<br \/>\npulled untucked as he climbs into and over, his<\/p>\n<p>heel digging into shoulders as hands prop him up, three<br \/>\nbalconies down he\u2019s a stick figure stalking, his shadow<br \/>\nmimicking and mocking, an angry ghost as controlled as the<br \/>\nabsolution offered and taken<\/p>\n<p>a reminder that inside your chest<br \/>\nis a flame the size of your thumb and<br \/>\nwere you to take the point of one human hair<br \/>\nand divide it a hundred times and take one of<\/p>\n<p>those points and divide it a hundred more<br \/>\nin one of those points would fit the universe<br \/>\nthen you would have the truth of the spirit<br \/>\nand know this is also that<\/p>\n<p>unspoken is the dialectic of celebration and mourning<br \/>\nand joy over pleasure as none of that need be said<br \/>\ngiven the chaos and the quiet that exists simultaneously,<br \/>\nall those hands reaching, provoked until compelled<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Zak Mucha, LCSW, is a psychotherapist in private practice in Chicago. He spent seven years working as the supervisor of an Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) program, providing 24\/7 services to persons suffering from severe psychosis, substance abuse issues, and homelessness. Mucha has also worked as a counselor and consultant for U.S. combat veterans undergoing training for digital forensic investigations in child pornography.
