you protest it is ludicrous, being our age
\nafter so many years together that
\nI find you intensely alluring
\nutterly fascinating and
\nso passionately desirable
\n\u201cbut I\u2019m old\u201d you protest,
\ndropping your china blue satin robe
\nin our candle lit hotel room, glaring your challenge
\n\u201clook at me damn it, just look!\u201d
\nI do, and take you in my ropey old arms,
\ngently stroking your lovely grey hair,
\nbeing so grateful that such a beauty as you
\nwould love an old train wreck like me.<\/p>\n

Sporadically he is grasped by fits and starts of inspiration, equally he can be swept away into infinite worlds of busy-signals, radio static, and elevator-music.
